I was fortunate to be able to visit some of the local credit unions in Indonesia. Here are some pictures of staff (with some directors) that I took.

Some of the photos include Charles Gray, a Canadian (with the beard) and also Pak Sil, the training director from Jakarta. I thank both of these men for allowing me to 'learn' as the weeks went by.

I found all of the participants in the classes to be super friendly as were all the great people of Indonesia that I met.

I thank them for taking the time out of their their busy schedules to take me on tours of some of the local attractions during my days off. It was very much appreciated.

Marsudi Mulyo, my first credit union visit and the place where I had my first taste of Rambutan, a local fruit that is 2nd to none. It became one of my favorites. Four days later I was pleasantly surprised to see 3 of these staff members ( Sri- on the left, Supartini- 4th from left and Diran- front right) in my second class at the training Center.

My visit to Mekar Credit Union was a surpise. I popped in to see them on my way from Yogyakarta to Semarang one morning. I was made an honourary member of the credit union and in appreciation made a donation to their 'staff fund'.

My friends at CCA, Jakarta. (right to left) Endang, Sheelagh ( another Canadian), Monique, Wiwik and Charlie. Taken my first day in Jakarta. Jakarta is over 12 million citizens and I think they are all on the streets at the same time.

View from the top of Borobudur

Borobudur ( above and below) the most impressive monument I have ever seen. It was built in the 8th century as a Buddist monument. It is approx. 138 meters square and 41 meters high and can withstand the weight of 5,000 visitors
